David Beckham may be busy playing in Europe, but he faces a lawsuit if and when he returns ot the US. The football star is being sued by a Los Angeles-based photographer who claims that he was attacked by Beckham and his bodyguard.

Emicles Da Mata is suing Becks for assault, battery, and emotional distress. He claims that on December 7, Beckham tried to take his camera and Beckham's bodyguard punched and kicked him, took his $8000 camera and threw it in the garbage.

Meanwhile, Beckham scored his first goal for AC Milan, fueling speculation that he may stay in Europe rather than return to the LA Galaxy of the MLS. According to one Milan executive, they are willing to pay a hefty fee to retain Beckham, but the Galaxy have yet to agree to a deal.

Milan aim to offer cash to tempt Galaxy to allow the 33-year-old to stay in Italy. Reports in England suggest that Milan, having held discussions with his American club believe that £4.5m will be enough to get that clause activated.

"If Beckham comes to an agreement with Galaxy, we are ready to pay a figure. In the coming days we will meet his advisors," Galliani told Sky Sport 24.
