Its all upto Indian Batsmen whether they safe or destroys India's pride its all in their hands. This is the message sent from all Indian people after seeing Australia giving a impossible target of 499 runs by declaring their second innings for 351 for 7 with Clarke the top scored.

Scoring 499 is next to impossible but not totally impossible. India have next two days to make it. In recent past Australia gave similar target to Sri Lanka ( target given was 500 runs) they just fall short by 96 runs. If Sangakara was there might Sri Lanka can had made it . So some chances of India still their but they have to be mentally strong.

Day 3 started with Australia in ahead of India with mighty lead of 179 runs. Resuming from 32/0 Australia was in mood of crushing India's remaining hope too. Hayden and Jaques played their natural game and it was looking like that India will be in a big trouble. But soon some hope came when Hayden gave his catch to Ganguly on superb bowl by Harbhajan Singh when scoredboard was on 83. Soon Australian Skipper failed just like the 1st innings. Ricky Pointing who mighty out of form or having difficulty in judging the spinners well gave a simple catch to the slip on Harbhajan Singh bowling.

It started to look that India might get a chance to save this test as Australia two quick wicket fell but soon all hope started to go away from Indians as Hussey and Jaques played excellent innings and Jaques succeeded in scoring his second consecutive fifty but he cant manage to make it into a magnificent hundred and got out soon on 51 on Kumble's superb delivery .

Indian last hope almost gone in air when Clarke, Hussey and Symonds played their superb game. Next to go was Hussey on Harbhajan Singh bowling. Then came Symonds who with Clarke put a hard blow Indian blow by making a good partnership of 82 runs. When Scored reached 243 Symonds concentration lacked a bit and he gave his wicket to Kumble. He was lbw by Kumble's superb bowling. Then came Glichrist , he played a small but vital role in Australian innings. He not only helped Clarke but also kept the pace of making the runs. On other hand Clarke marched to his Magnificient fifty and proved much devasting for Indian team. His dream of making Hundred against India shattered when he was tumped on cracking delivery by Kumble . He was taken by suprise and rest was done by Dhoni.

Glichrist added some more to his total and to the teams total but wasnt able to make a good fifty and got out when he reached 35 runs . Australia score at that time was 316/7 with a huge lead of 463 runs at that time.

Ricky pointing looking a chance to take Indian opening pair he declared the Innings on 351-7 giving India a target of 499 runs. With more 8 overs to go. India came to bat and to save their prestige. India saved all the wickets on the end of 3rd days' play by scoring just 6 runs with more 493 to get on next two days.

India will try to play sensible cricket and also not to make mistake on any Australian bowlers bowling and save the wicket and reach to target . on otherhand Australia will target all Indian wickets and give India a big blow in this first test.
