NFL cornerback DeAngelo Hall has signed a new deal with the Washington Redskins. Earlier in the week, Hall was released by the Oakland Raiders in what appeared to be a cost-cutting move. Rumors have swirled about where he would end up, The Redskins Insider is reporting that the Washington Redskins have signed for the remainder of the season.

Hall played just eight game for the Raiders, who picked him up from the Atlanta Falcons for a second- and fifth-round picks. Hall's contract with the Raiders was worth $70 million over seven years.

The Raiders' contract with Hall was worth $70 million US over seven years, although only $8 million a year was guaranteed. The Raiders had to pay Hall his guaranteed money before releasing him, meaning that Hall was paid $8 million for playing eight games with the Raiders.

While Hall is still considered a solid defender, he did struggle with the 2-6 Raiders.

In his eight games in Oakland, Hall was beaten 40 times for 552 yards on 66 passes thrown his way, according to data compiled by STATS. He gave up more yards than any defender this season and was tied for third worst in catches allowed.
