Delhi wins final Roller Hockey in senior division at Mussoorie

On the 2 day of All IndiaInvitational Roller skating championship that concluded at Appu Ghar Delhiwon the Seniors Roller Hockey championship defeating Uttarakhand in a closely contested finals. The junior Trophy was one by Delhiand runners up were DSA. In artistic section Rashita from Delhiwas declared winner and Parthi stood second in the senior division. Sathwik and Shubham were declared winners and runners up respectively in junior division in which nearly 300 skaters registered their participation. In senior figure skating Arun Sharma and Rishita were declared winners. In junior figure skating Sathwik and Shubham were declared winners

 Earlier On the first day In speed skating race Ayan,Piya Raghuvanshi,Aaashna and Sai won their races. More than 12 teams participated in the roller Hockey whereas 102 speed skaters showcased their talent in front of large crowd. In 300 metre under-4 boyz Ayan was declared winner in girls section Priya Raghuvanshi was declared first. The sporting event was organised by SS Sahni eminent skater himself from Delhi.. The tournament concluded with the grand prize distribution.VED Prakash,Sanjay Victor, Rajesh Victor, Manish Gangoli, Khurana and others were present on the occasion. The organizer of the event  SS Sahni thanked all the participants and said that the October championship will be in much more grander scale.

I never heard of this before, thanks. Was the figure skating done on roller skates too?

Roller hockey has been played in sixty countries worldwide and so has many names worldwide. The sport is also known as quad hockey, hóquei em patins, international style ball hockey, rink hockey and hardball hockey. Roller Hockey was a demonstration roller sport at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics.

yes it it was and Mussoorie is the palce where he federation for rollewr skating came into being.

The roller skatinge was the sport of  the town but after the ticket prices were increased by the local rinks the interest waned and noe the rinks are just empty palces in the town.
