Dez Bryant Had His Pro Day Today? How Did the Dez Bryant Pro Day Go? Which Team Might Draft Him?

Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant had his pro day Tuesday and the reviews were largely mixed.

Mike Mayock of NFL.com said that Dez Bryant's draft stock could be negatively affected by his pro day workout. Mayock noted Bryant's 38-inch vertical leap and 11-foot 1-inch broad jump. He also said that Bryant appears to have put on around 10 pounds of muscle.

However, Dez Bryant's 40-time was a bit disappointing. He averaged around 4.55 seconds, a time that is good, but not great.

Bryant's camp will note that he was hampered by missing workouts in February due to a hamstring injury. Bryant was also suspended for the final 10 games of the 2009 season.

Dez Bryant Forgets His Cleats

One other factor that might have affected Dez Bryant's 40 time: he appeared to have forgotten his cleats. Pro Football Talk reported that Bryant arrived for his pro day in a timely fashion. His cleats, however, were forgotten.

We're told that Bryant forgot to bring his cleats, and that as a result he had to wear a pair of brand-new shoes, which had not properly been broken in.

As a result, Bryant was slipping, as NFLN's Mike Mayock pointed out when discussing the workout on the air

Bryant apparently did well during catching drills and impressed scouts with his route-running.

Where Will Dez Bryant Go in the NFL Draft?

Mayock said that he thought Bryant could be a Top 3 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Most pundits, however, have him in the 10 to 20 range. There is talk that the Miami Dolphins may be in the mix.

The next step for Bryant: he reportedly heads to Dallas to meet with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
