MUSSOORIE, 13 Sept: Indian Cricket Captain MS Dhoni, along with RP Singh, took time out for a holiday in Mussoorie and Dhanaulti today. The two cricketers, along with a few friends checked in at the famous JP Residency Hotel, eluding the media a couple of days ago. After the visit to the IMA on Friday, Dhoni and company head straight towards the ‘Queen of the Hills’. MS Dhoni and RP Singh were in a relaxed mood and stayed inside the hotel most of the time.
This morning, RP Singh came out to the reception of the hotel to brief the media and said that they were on a personal visit and as they had heard a lot about Mussoorie, the urge had brought them to this tourist town.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni, avoiding the media, slipped out from the back gates of the hotel, which did not go down well with the media persons present there.
Dhoni and Singh, along with their friends, headed for the Deodar woods in Dhanaulti immediately after the press briefing by RP Singh.
The two cricketers were mesmerised by the meandering road and the Himalayan view from Dhanaulti. The made a halt at “Apple Orchard Resort”, owned by the royal family of Garhwal. The resort is located in Dhanaulti at a secluded place preferred by the celebrities. The two cricketers took their lunch at the resort and took a while walking around the resort. Dhoni and RP Singh liked the area surrounded by the famous apples of Dhanaulti. The two also tasted the juicy apples at the resort and commended the efforts of the owners in maintaining such a lovely place. Rao Kirti Pratap Singh personally welcomed Dhoni and RP Singh at the resort.
Dhoni stated that being from Uttarakhand, himself, he had a fondness for the state. He promised the people at the resort that he would be back as and when he found time from his busy schedule. They played carrom, pool and had a good time at the resort. After staying for a few hours Dhoni left with his cavalcade for Mussoorie for Kempy Falls but being Saturday they chose not to visit it this time as the place is crowded and the traffic is a common problem at the falls. Dhoni enjoyed Mussoorie and its surroundings so much that he prolonged his stay for one day. The cricketers might leave for Delhi tomorrow.
He will spend the night at The Jaypee Residency Manor in Mussoorie. The residents of Mussoorie were elated at the presence of the Cricket Captain of India and appreciated his choice of Mussoorie and Dhanaulti as the place for a vacation.

He left today at 6.00 early in morning
