Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury is facing an Extreme DUI charge stemming from a July 2 incident in which she also was cited for speeding.
Phoenix police reported that Taurasi had a blood-alcohol level of 0.17 percent, or more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Taurasi was pulled over after a home game which saw the Phoenix Mercury defeat the Seattle Storm.
Diana Taurasi has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charges and not responsible to the speeding citation. A court date is slated for July 22.
