The Lights Went Out at Super Bowl 2013? Was It Caused by Beyonce's Super Bowl 47 Halftime Show?

As you know, the lights went out at the 2013 Super Bowl. According to reports, the Super Bowl blackout was caused by a power surge. 

Right after the lights went out, many took to Twitter to say that Beyonce's crazy halftime show may have caused the blackout. Some were joking and some really seem to think that the Superdome wasn't ready for Beyonce's jelly.

Did Beyonce Cause the Super Bowl XLVII Blackout?

Simply put, we don't know. There has been no official announcement about the cause of the blackout. 

CBS's Steve Tasker reporter that the blackout was caused by an outside power feed that suddenly went dead. No word of Beyonce.
