Did KDFW Jinx The Texas Rangers By Announcing the Texas Rangers Won Game 6 of the 2011 World Series? Here is a Photo

It's not exactly Dewey Defeats Truman, but it's kinda close. Texas TV station KDFW FOX 4 accidentally sent out a news alert saying that the Texas Rangers won the World Series 2011 after winning Game 6 on October 27, 2011.

The KDFW text message read: "The Texas Rangers have won the World Series. Watch coverage on FOX 4 News and myFOXdfw.com."

As we all know, The St. Louis Cardinals managed to pull off a stunning extra innings win in Game 6 to force a Game 7 on Friday, October 28, 2011. 

We're not sure what happened, but no doubt there is a person at KDFW FOX 4 right now who desperately wishes he or she hadn't hit the 'send' button.

Some people are already talking about how KDFW FOX 4 jinxed the Texas Rangers. Of course, if Ron Washington had told his outfielder to play closer to the wall in the ninth inning, that David Freese likely wouldn't have hit a game-tying triple.
