The Dirtsurfer: New Bike And Skateboard Hybrid Thing
It's part bike and part skateboard and it looks all fun. It's the Freestyle Dirtsurfer and it's a new hybrid like toy for all of you X Games types who can't wait for winter to get here soon enough. One neat touch is a Razor-scooter-like brake on the back wheel so you don't end up in the ER the first time you try it on a downhill. And for $450, you really don't want to crash it too much. I think they would need to include a good insurance plan in the purchase price.

When the brake is applied, wouldn't inertia do unkind things to the rider? For example, slamming him/her face-first towards the ground? Admittedly, I'd still probably give this a try.
(I'd say, yeah, this is a sport story.)

World_Groove, I like this story. It's good stuff.
I somewhat like the sail version. But it may need some sort of guard or protection from those tires.
