Athens, GA (Nov 3, 2007) - When Football Coach Mark Richt arrived on the University of Georgia campus in 2001, one of the first things he did was to institute a new ritual called the "Dawg Walk". Simply put, the UGA Football team walks through a gauntlet of fans and cheerleaders to enter the stadium. It helps get the team psyched up for the game and the fans love it. The photographs attached to this article are a "photo essay" of today's Dawg Walk before their game against Troy.

I went to a university that had no football team, so we missed out on stuff like this.

We mdid not have big-time fooball where I went to school either (Niagara University). We did have a club football team that was hit by a chlorine gas leak at one Friday night game. My first introduction to Big-time college sports was as a grad student at Ohio State. And it was huge there!
