Heist at Donte Whitner's home

Buffalo Bills players can't seem to get a break on and off the field. After a tough opening week loss to the New England Patriots, Bills player Leodis McKelvin had his home vandalized. Now, Bills safety Donte Whitner had his home robbed while he was playing in yesterday's game between Buffalo and Tampa Bay.

As Donte Whitner was on the field at Buffalo's Ralph Wilson Stadium playing for the Bills, thieves broke into his home in the Buffalo suburb of Hamburg. Police report that approximately $400,000 in jewelry was stolen from Whitner's home.

Donte Whitner played a key role in the Bills first win of the season, snagging an interception that he ran for a 76-yard touchdown.

A spokesman for Donte Whitner says he isn't interested in pressing charges; he just wants his jewelry returned.
