Dustin Pedroia Baby: Red Sox Star Welcomes Son Dylan Pedroia

Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia and wife Kelli Pedroia have given birth to a son, Dylan Pedroia.
Dustin Pedroia missed the Red Sox game in Toronto to fly back to Boston to be with his wife. Kelli Pedroia gave birth to a healthy 7-pound, 20 1/2-inch long baby boy.
Kelli Pedroia's pregnancy was a difficult one. Earlier this season, Pedroia missed the 2009 All-Star Game to be with Kelli who had struggled with her pregnancy, having gone into premature labour in July.
Dustin Pedroia's teammate Kevin Youkilis summed up the thoughts of many in Red Sox Nation.
"It's good," Kevin Youkilis said. "I think it's great for him after everything she's been through, Dustin's been through mentally. It's going to be a great thing for Dustin."
