The Netherland's women beat the Finns by 1.29 secs to clinch the gold in the women's light weight double sculls.
<?xml:namespace prefix = rte />Dutch pair Kirsten van der Kolk and Marit van Eupen won the women's lightweight double sculls gold at the Beijing Olympic Games on Sunday.
Slight pre-race favourites, van der Kolk and van Eupen started conservatively but timed their charge to perfection over the final 500m to win by 1.29sec from Finland in a time of 6:54.74.
Finns Sanna Sten and Minna Nieminen had to settle for silver again, just as they did at last year's world championships.

Thanks, Milieunet! Presumably you'll be going "clip-clippety-clop on the stairs" in your Dutch clogs...?
