A massive riot broke out during a football match in Egypt on Wednesday, February 2, 2012. The Egypt soccer riot broke out during a match between Al Ahly and Al Masry, two of the top teams in the Egyptian league.

After the game,  a huge number of Al Masry fans, or 'Ultras', stormed the pitch and attacked visiting Al Ahly players and security guards.

Visiting players were forced to flee the pitch and into their locker rooms. The BBC reports that more than 70 people died during the Egypt soccer riot.

The report goes on to say that some fans brought knives into the stadium located in the city of Port Said.
