Elin Nordegren: Tiger Woods' Wife Won't Support Golfer at Masters
Elin Nordegren Won't be at Augusta to Support Tiger Woods' Return to Golf
Tiger Woods is making his return to golf at the Masters in Augusta, but wife Elin Nordegren won't be there to cheer her husband on. Nordegren will instead be returning home to Sweden during the tournament that starts up on April 8th.
"Elin does not want to go to the Masters and is preparing for a trip to see her family and friends in Sweden," a source in Nordegren's camp told People.com.
"She is also being asked by Tiger to attend the Masters, even if for a half day, to look like she is interested in supporting his return to golf.
Woods and his team are desperately trying to get Nordegren to attend the masters, because Woods is trying to project a better public image after the fallout of his many affairs. Having Nordegren's public support at the Masters would go a long way in repairing Wood's image in the eyes of fans.

But Nordegren has no interest in attending the Masters. Nordegren has visited with Woods in the months following the news of his affairs, she still has not moved back into their Orlando home.
Nordegren doesn't want to be around when the Masters take place, as the media scrutiny will undoubtedly be intense. She wants to be as far away as possible, and that is why she has decided to return home to Sweden during the tournament.
Woods will reunite with an important member of his life at the Masters; Tiger will have longtime caddy Steve Williams holding his clubs at Augusta.
