Day 5 Preview: Australia declaring their first inning at 674/6 after Haddin being bowled off Collingwood by giving catch to Bopara while trying for a six out to midwicket. England lost two crucial wickets in their 2nd innings on last day’s play. Cook was the first one to go down where he simply misses the ball and gets LBW out given by Aleem Dar at world-record pace 13/1. England having one wicket down, they can’t afford any more silly mistakes where Ravi Bopara comes and plays one shot taking a single. Leaving one behind and on 3rd ball giving away his wicket puts England in very serious position at 17/2. A little before tea rain came pouring down where England finished off at 20/2. Then, play has been called off for the day. Rain might have saved England’s battle to save the game a little, but they face a huge challenge on the final day with, weather permitting, 98 overs available for Australia. Will they be able to save this Cardiff Test? or Will Australia go 1-0 up? Don’t miss any of this exciting action from Cardiff 1st Ashes 2009 Test. Join us tomorrow for the final day of this 1st Test Highlights.

cricfire, Maybe your story has potential but it does needs some improvement since so far it looks like SPAM. I wasn't sure what was newsworthy in this story. Please review our FAQ or check out our J-Tips for more help.

Hilfenhaus has just snared the very important wicket of Pietersen very early in the day, misjudgment on the part of the England batsman costing him his off-stump. England 3 down with 34 now on the board, but more importantly, almost six hours of play remaining barring rain.
