Hard hitting West Indies batsmen including Samuels were taken care of by Sri lankan bowlers, both pacers and spinner. Mendis once again proved that he is a top rated bowler and justified his inclusion in his team.

Sri Lankans, playing in their own backyards will again try to win the match with a  big margin. Their last win against West Indies was by the margin of 28 balls, a huge achievement in a match where only 120 balls are fired in one inning.

But Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene is not taking England lightly. He knows that they are dangerous any day and some poor play by Sri Lanka and their dreams will be ruined. “They are a very exciting team. They have some quality players and are good with the ball as well. They are defending champions and will throw us a different challenge”, says Mahela Jayawardene.
