Two in a row, and Leeds climb to 7th, now 5 points from the playoffs, with hope in sight, this could give them some confidence. Beckford coming back from injury to score two. It was looking gloomy a few weeks ago but with Beckford back there might be a chance.

Leeds 3-1 Peterborough

Jermaine Beckford scored twice on his return from injury as Leeds defeated high-flying Peterborough.

Leeds keeper Casper Ankergren twice denied George Boyd and Posh stopper Joe Lewis twice thwarted Andy Robinson.

Substitute Beckford struck with a rebound after Lewis parried Bradley Johnson's free-kick and then deceived Craig Morgan before shooting home.

Craig Mackail-Smith pulled a goal back after Boyd hit the post before Jonny Howson scored in injury time.
