Who says figure skating isn't a full contact sport? Canadian figure skater Eric Radford broke his nose during a pair's short program performance at the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships in Moscow.

Eric Radford and partner Meagan Duhamel managed to finish their routine after Radford broke his nose. At the end of their performance, Radford was a bloody mess, looking more like a hockey player than a figure skater.

How Did Eric Radford Break His Nose?

The Eric Radford broken nose video shows how the injury occurred. Early in their program, Meagan Duhamel's elbow smashed into Radford's face as she came down from a triple lutz-twist lift. Radford face was bloodied and tears filled his eyes, but the pair persevered and finished in seventh.

After their performance at the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships, Radford had his nose reset by a team doctor. Whether the couple continues to compete at the 2011 Worlds remains to be seen.
