Evolution of the Speedo and it's variations by Barry Artiste

As reported in my original story last week, this Speedo is certainly turning the Swimming circle on it's ear, much like the earlier 1970's speedo model one did in this photo and the Sexy TIme middle eastern version.

Even though it's only been available to a select few for 43 days, Speedo's new LZR Racer swim suit has already helped athletes break a total of 16 world records.

The suit, partially developed by NASA, has turned the world of swimming on its head.

According to Speedo, the suit can reduce a swimmers drag in the water by five percent. It has no stitches and instead has welded seams and specially taped edges. The suit is made of a special material that does not absorb liquids, which makes the swimmer lighter in the water, and it incorporates a special girdle-like design that pulls an athlete into optimal swimming position.
