Detroit Tigers pitcher Fernando Rodney was suspended three games for throwing a ball into the stands during Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Major League Baseball also fined Rodney for the throw.

After the Tigers got the final out to seal a 4-3 victory, Fernando Rodney threw the ball into the stands. The ball hit the press box, sending reporters to duck for cover. Fernando Rodney claims that the toss into the crowd was not malicious, and that he certainly didn't intend to aim for the press box. Nevertheless, Major League Baseball saw fit to suspend and fine the Tigers pitcher.

Here is video of Fernando Rodney throwing the ball into the stands.

I think they should put up a hockey style net.  What are thry waiting on, someone to get killed.  And yes it did happen in hockey.  Just common sense.
