Finland took the lead twice in this exciting game and Sweden came back twice.  2-2 at full-time meant a "sudden death" extra time.  Finland clearly wanted it more than their ancient rivals, the Swedes, attacking, attacking and attacking until it was inevitable that the puck would go in to the back of the Swedish net first.

The Men's Ice Hockey sees Finland vs U.S.A. tomorrow, Friday 28th February, 8:00 pm London time GMT.  Whoever wins that goes through to the Gold Medal final on Sunday.  The bronze medal game will also take place Sunday.

Finland vs Sweden highlights

This was a massive game for the Finnish and Swedish women’s ice hockey teams with Olympic bronze, and local bragging rights, the coveted prize! This was a difficult game to call since both teams have been playing so well, apart from their respective semi finals when they lost out to the sport’s super powers, the US and Canada. The game was won in dramatic fashion thanks to an overtime goal by Finnish player Rantamaki.
