"The Flocktagon" the Ravens Home Headquarters of Defense
November 20, 2011- The Baltimore Ravens are one of the best defensive teams in the NFL. They have created a culture in the city with their fans based on the teams defense that is led by future Hall-of-Fame players Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Terrell Suggs. Lewis is the teams vocal and spiritual leader and is one of the best defensive players of all-time.
M & T Bank Stadium is the home of the Ravens. It's one of the most intimidating venues in the league. The Raven fans are known as "The Flock" on their website www.baltimoreravens.com. They have over 400,000 online members of "The Flock."
"Flocktagon" is the new arena and stadium sports term created by Dunkadelic Sports Marketing in Baltimore, MD.
Ravens fans flock to games to watch their team do battle vs. the rest of the NFL. "The Pentagon" in Arlington, Virginia is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense. "The Flocktagon" is perfect nickname for the Ravens home stadium. The 2000 Baltimore Ravens have been considered one of the best defensive teams of all-time. That team marched all the way and to Super Bowl XXXV and won 34-7 over the NY Giants.
The Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers have the best rivalry in the NFL to date. It's hard-nosed old school style football.
The Steelers are known for their "Steel Curtain" defense of the 70's and "The Terrible Towel."
When the Steelers next come to Baltimore we will see if their fans will wave "The Terrible Towel" to surrender defeat to the Ravens when they are being beaten at "The Flocktagon" the Ravens Home Headquarters of Defense.
