Football Fan Todd Kobus Tackles Junior Seau
Football fan Todd Kobus tried to tackle New England Patriots linebacker Junior Seau during the team's recent home win over the Arizona Cardinals.
In the fourth quarter of the Pats' 47-7 win, Kobus jumped from the stands at Gillette Stadium and confronted the 248-pound Seau. Seau and Kobus scrapped before security escorted the fan off the field. Pats fans pelted Kobus with snowballs as he left the stadium.

Seau laughed about the incident after the game, saying that Kobus caught the 39-year-old veteran and teammate Mike Vrabel by surprise.
“Give him credit for an unassisted tackle, whoever he is,” said Seau. “I don’t know where he came from. As old as I am, I couldn’t see it or anticipate where it was coming from. (Mike) Vrabel saw it all happen, it was right in front of him.”
As for a helping hand from a fellow linebacker? Guess again.
“I don’t know what he was doing,” joked Seau. “I would never rob a bank with Vrabel. He’s not the guy you want to rob a bank with.”
Kobus, a veteran of the Iraq War, was charged with assault and battery and trespassing. He apologized to a judge on Monday, saying that he only wanted to give Seau a hug. Kobus was ordered by the court to stay away from Gillette Stadium until his trial. A preliminary hearing is set for Februrary 17.
The Patriots have revoked the season-ticket privileges of the whoever owned the right to Kobus' seats.
