Former Wrestler B. Brian Blair Arrested for Beating His Sons
Former WWF wrestler Brian Blair was arrested for assaulting his two sons on Father's Day. B. Brian Blair, who was part of the tag-team known as The Killer Bees, allegedly shoved and punched his 17-year-old son and grabbed his 12-year-old son by the throat.
Blair, who recently worked as Hillsborough County Commissioner, was arrested at around 5:00 am Sunday at his home in Forest Hills. He was questioned by authorities and examined by doctors after he complained of sore ribs.
After his days with the WWF (now the WWE), Blair went on to own several Gold's Gym franchises. He later entered public life, having been elected in 2004 as the Hillsborough County Commissioner.
As a county commissioner, Blair called domestic violence "an intolerable and horrible crime," although he voted last year to cut funding for a county-sponsored domestic violence crisis center.
A conservative Republican who stressed family values, Blair was elected to the county commission in 2004 but lost a heated election last year to Kevin Beckner.
Brian Blair's website features a photo of Blair with his family along with the slogan "Promises Made...Promises Kept."
