The German rider, Christian Ahlmann, has been suspended from the olympic games. His horse Coester failed a doping test. The banned substance Capsaicin was found found in the horse on Sunday, what the German equestrian association confirmed yesterday. The International Equestrian Federation suspended the 33-year-old rider, meaning he will not be able to compete for Germany in the individual final in Hong Kong.
But Christian Ahlmann was not the only rider in the championship whose hores was tested positive on Capsaicin: the Norwegian Tony Andre Hansen, the Irish rider Denis Lynch and the Brasilian Bernardo Alves were suspended with their horses.
