In a shocking turn of events, tournament favorites New Zealand have lost to France:

France set up a World Cup semi-final with England after a stunning win over hot favourites New Zealand in Cardiff.

The All Blacks dominated the first half but only had Luke McAlister's try to show for it, with Lionel Beauxis's penalty being France's lone score.

McAlister was sin-binned after the restart and Thierry Dusautoir took advantage to score and level the score.

Rodney So'oialo's try restored the New Zealand lead before Yannick Jauzion's try which turned out to be the winner.

England vs. France should be interesting... when the two faced off during Euro 2000 (football/soccer), the riot police were out in Trafalgar Square in the even of rioting: the sporting rivalry between these two countries is intense.

I was in the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff two weeks ago when Canada lost th Fiji in the final minute.

People in the Rugby World - their heads are spinning today. I was with two englishmen last night. It seemed to me, by the end of the night, that they had a bit of a swagger in their step or maybe it was just the pints they had consumed.
