Off road racing and all of its excitement were present in La Paz and surrounding towns, all the way to Cabo!

Families
enjoyed an owesome time since saturday night at the Malecon where the
cars had their mechanical revision. On sunday morning as early as 6 am.
people chose their favorite stop at the desert roads to watch their
favorite cars and drivers, enjoying great weather as well.

The last, State Championship
race, known locally this year as the Baja Sur 300, the CABO 500 2007
has changed dates and race routes enough to confuse even the best Baja
South offroad fans. Today, contingency on the La Paz Bay and the race
runs from La Paz to Cabo on Sunday, just like last years race, Finish
Line on the beach in Cabo!
FRANCISCO MONROY WINS 2007 KING OF CABO AT CABO 500

Trophy Truck Cabeno Kingpin Francisco Monroy took the CABO 500-Baja
Sur 300 yesterday in Los Cabos, Baja South Mexico. The race, run like
last years race from La Paz to Cabo San Lucas, was won in record time
on the Desert Classic course.

For over 50 Years, the La Paz to Cabo race has been a local favorite
in Baja Sur-Baja South. Now, with International racers, the competition
for the "King Of Cabo Trophy" has been hot and heavy. Even gaining the
vengeful and jealous lusts of the So-Cal (southern California off road
fans) goon squads.

Off Road Racing history was made over the weekend when Monroy made
the record run after recovering from a rough roll-over during the
Coyote 300 in La Paz early in the year. The CABO 500 will announce its
2008 schedule this week at a press conference in Southern California,
during one of the off road cultures best known activities, the Bar Room
Brawl.
