Frank Schleck Fails Doping Test in 2012 Tour de France

Frank Schleck, who finished third in the 2011 Tour de France, has failed a doping test during the 2012 tour. A urine test came back positive for Xipamide, a banned diuretic.

The test was conducted on July 14, according to the UCI, who referred to the result as an "adverse analytical finding". Frank Schleck has the right to have a B-sample tested as well, and he has not been kicked out of the Tour de France.

A native of Luxembourg, Frank Schleck rides for Team RadioShack-Nissan.
