Ganguly likely to play in first two Tests by Amitjha

This is very intresting news for fan of Dada"Bengal Tiger".Latest news says that he is selected for the sqad to face Australian team.It might be his last chance to reserve the bearth for some more time or say good bye to cricket.

Former skipper Sourav Ganguly is likely to be included in the Indian squad for the first two Tests against Australia, sources told NDTV.

According to the sources, Ganguly has decided to finally call it a day at the end of the series.

The previous committee ignored Ganguly for the Irani Cup tie touted as a selection trial with Dilip Vengsarkar at the helm.

There is immense pressure on the five wise men less than a week after their appointment as India's first fully paid selectors' panel at the Cricket Board's 79th AGM in Mumbai.

The 36-year-old Bengal stalwart, who staged a spectacular entry into Tests with a debut ton at Lord's in 1996, made a storming return to the five-day game in South Africa in late 2006 after losing his place earlier that year.

The classy left-hander amassed over 1100 runs with a career-best 239 against Pakistan in Bangalore in late 2007, at a fantastic average of 61.44 which compares very favourably with his career average of 41.74 in 109 Tests
