Gators Take to the Streets After Win Over Oklahoma
The Florida Gators won the National Football Championship 24-14 over the Oklahoma Sooners making it their second title in three years. Although the official celebrations begin this Sunday at the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, students and fans alike took to the streets last night to start the party early. Police estimated that nearly 28 000 students collected onto University Boulevard , a street lined with bars across from the University of Florida. U of F is ranked first in party schools by the Princeton Review and they had a reputation to uphold. " Screaming students and honking horns punctuated the night until 3a.m. as students savored the win."
Although most of the celebrations are good spirited the Gainesville Police had a few minor problems with people climbing light poles and fighting but no serious injuries were reported. In all there were 10 arrests made, mainly for drinking violations.

The Gator defense did a slow motion run through of their plays at the hotel about 8 hours before the big game. Urban Meyer showed up at the end and began joking around with his players.
