Munchen gets defeated by Mainz

Matchday Three started with high expectations for Bayern Muenchen.  The were visiting VFL Mainz 05, a newly promoted team to the German top flight.  Mainz showed spunk, combined with hard work and determination and became the spoiler of the day.  Wolfsburg, last years Champion, was defeated by Hamburg and gave up the top spot in the League.

FC Bayern Muenchen has had one of it's worst starts in recent history.  After three starts it has a goal deficit of 1 and only 2 points.  It is, however early in the season.  Don't count them out yet.
