Dunkadelic Sports Marketing has proclaimed for the first time in US history Dunk-A-Ween Weekend 2010 a celebration of Hoops and Halloween culture.

The NBA season starts during Halloween week or weekend. This is a great time to celebrate the start of the season with the pop culture holiday of Halloween.

"Dunk-A-Ween week or weekend may help stimulate the economy in years to come with increased sales in NBA merchandise, sneakers, cell phone plans, restaurant and pub specials etc"..., says Derrick E. Vaughan of Dunkadelic Sports Marketing.

Vaughan continues, " whenever you can connect sports with a popular holiday there are economic opportunities for companies in commerce. Its part of the calendar wheel that comes around each year and there can be financial goals that a company can forecast".

The top 3 players in the NBA will be playing on Halloween night Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James.

The Miami Heat will play the New Jersey Nets on the road. LeBron will play in front of his friend hip-hop mogul and minority owner of the team Jay-Z. Oklahoma City will host the Utah Jazz. Kevin Durant the super-star forward of the Thunder was the 2009-10 NBA scoring champion. Kobe Bryant and the Lakers will host the Golden State Warriors.

The Miami Heat will play their first home-game tonight vs. in-state and division rival Orlando Magic. The Magic are one of the teams that will contend with the Heat for the Eastern Conference crown. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN. The Lakers will travel to Phoenix and face the Suns. LA beat Phoenix in the Western Conference Finals last season before they defeated the Boston Celtics in a 7-game NBA Finals thiller.
