Nominations for The Heistman Trophy are now being accepted.

Not to be confused with the prestigious award given each year to the nation’s most-outstanding college football player (i.e., The Heisman Trophy), The Heistman Trophy recognizes the American political figure who, in the course of his or her official duties, manages to waste, steal and/or misappropriate the most taxpayer dollars.

Please use the comments section below this post at Bob McCarty Writes to submit your nominations.  In doing so, please make sure you include the full name of the nominee, the office he/she holds and details of the nominee’s legislative financial misdeeds that make this individual deserving of this award.

Please be advised that there is no deadline for submitting nominations and no actual trophy will be awarded.  Why?  Because the actions that result in individuals being nominated for The Heistman Trophy produce no winners.
