Helicopter rescues 2 Italian climbers in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - A high-altitude rescue helicopter safely plucked two stranded Italian climbers from one of the world's highest mountains on Thursday, officials said.

Thanks for this story Iwona. I am adding an image issued by Reuters in local papers. The Italian mountaineers,  Simon Kehrer and Walter Nones, were stranded for 10 days on Nanga Parbat (literally, 'Naked Mountain') also called the Killer Mountain, Man Eater... It is the ninth highest peak on earth. A Pakistan army pilot Lt-Col Moinuddin airlifted the pair in his helicopter to the northern town of Gilgit.
