High Schooler Hits 82-Foot Buzzer Beater to Win Game

A high school game in Alabama ended with a dramatic game-winning 82-foot buzzer-beater. Spain Park’s Jake Lee lifted his team past Clay, 47-45.

With his team done one point with less than a second left, Jake Lee grabbed a rebound off a missed free throw and heaved a desperation shot from his own end of the court.

"He caught (the rebound off a missed free throw) below the lowest block," said Clay-Chalkville coach Marty Smith of Lee's shot, "and just throws it 82 feet and just banks it in. I measured it at 82 feet. I needed to know. I had to measure it."
