Hodgson Rejected Sweden and Norway Offers

Sven-Goren Eriksson is not the only football [soccer] manager who rejected an offer to coach the Swedish National Team. Roy Hodgson who is the Fulham FC Manager revealed that he received offers from Norway and Sweden to manage their national teams and that he turned down the offer.



Mr. Hodgson revealed that he rejected the offers so that he concentrate on Fulham. His work with Fulham saved the team from relegation. Fulham under Hodgson was able to advance to seventh place in the Premier League. During this period, Hodgson was on the list for Premier League Manager of the Year Award [in which he lost to Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United].



The underwriter respects the decision of Mr. Hodgson for remaining at Fulham to help the team although he has not ruled oyut wanting to manage the British Olympic Team. Mr. Hodgson has had experience in managing teams in Scandinavia, Italy, and England.
