A teenage golfer who took up the sport two years ago got two holes-in-one in the same hole on the same, day beating odds of 40 million to one.

Lewis Miller, a student at Sharnbrook Upper School, rounded off a summer of golf by hitting two balls directly from the tee into the cup at Rushden Golf Club, in Kimbolton Road, Chelveston.

Lewis, who is the club's junior captain, said: "When it went in, I was ecstatic – I was buzzing and couldn't believe it.

"The odds were something like 40 million to one, so I wish I had put a pound on it.

"I will remember both of them going in for the rest of my life."

Junior club organiser Rob Price, who has been helping Lewis for the last two years, said: "He's an amazing player, especially for one who only started so recently.
