An homenage was given to the Sudcalifornian athletes that participated in the Olimpic Games Beijing 2008.

Paola Espinosa who won a bronze medal in diving, Carmen De La Fuente ranking eth in Wu shu  and Gerardo Martinez Dibene high jump Mexican Record holder received this homenage and spoke about their experiences at the olympic games to young people in the city of La Paz, where talents are being projected into winners like our World boxing champion Raul "Rayito" Garcia who won against Jose Luis "Olimpico" Varela last night. We also have a group of teenagers doing great at the nationals! They are part of our youth, they are well known and appreciated  in the city.  

La Paz, Baja California Sur.- La alcaldesa de La Paz encabezó el homenaje que el gobierno municipal de La Paz ofreció ayer a los atletas Paola Espinosa Sánchez, Carmen de la Fuente Pérez y Gerardo Martínez Dibeni, quienes representaron a México y BCS en los pasados Juegos Olímpicos de Beijing.
