Many Seattle Mariners fans were suprised today to see Ichiro Suzuki get ejected from the game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Watch the video of Ichiro being ejected from the game.

This was the first time in Ichiro's career that he has been ejected from any game in either Japan or the Major Leagues after arguing with umpire Brian Runge over a third strike call in the fifth inning.

He drew a line in the dirt with his bat to show that the pitch that was thrown was outside the line, but Runge disagreed and threw him out of the game. This makes him the first Mariner player, manager, or coach to be ejected from a game so far this season.

Bloggers expressed confusion however, because Ichiro does not speak English, or he doens't do interviews in English, so how does he argue a call with no translator?

The AP says he used his actions to show his dismay, drawing a line with his bat to show that the pitch was outside.

That's not ok to say bob rob! The ump may have made a wrong call on the strike and he is deffinantly getting alot of flak for it but to say he should kill him is stupid! What's wrong with you? I work for the Mariners and Ichiro is a great person and I'm sure he would not want a fan like you!!!

Hum, he is the pride of many young Japanese Boys here. That may cost him some fans and TV support here.
