Ind vs Eng 1st Test day 2 cricket live score, highlights
England won the toss and elected to bat in the first test match against India in London.
The 1st Test is being played at the Lord's Cricket Ground from July 21-25. Match start time is 3:30 p.m. India time. See live score.
After rain stopped play, England were 127 for the loss of two wickets. Only 49.2 overs of play was possible in the rain interrupted day.
Kevin Pieterson on 22 and Jonathan Trot on 58 runs were unbeaten at the crease and will resume batting on day two. Indian pacer Zaheer Khan took both the wickets.
Three chances went unclaimed. Ishant Sharma missed Andrew Strauss's run-out when he was on 2. Rahul Dravid dropped Trott on 8 off Harbhajan Singh's first ball, 10 minutes before lunch. Watch the highlights of the 1st days play.
Zaheer walked off the ground limping with England at 107 for 2 in the 42nd over. Andrew Flintoff, no stranger to injuries himself, tweeted immediately: "If Zaheer doesn't come back on there goes the number 1 spot!".
Hopefully Zaheer recovers and plays the remaining four days of the Test.
