New Zealand made one change to their squad in the 2nd Test match against India being played at Bangalore from August 31, 2012. The match will start at 9:30 a.m. India time. See live scorecard.

Tim Southee is in for Chris Martin, while India is unchanged.

The good news is that its not raining in Bangalore on the eve of the match, but it did rain for a couple of days.

During inspection of the ground, Commentator Sunil Gavaskar said it was a typical Indian pitch with slight grass.

It will turn later as the match progresses, but will be good for batting first couple of days. Some movement for the quicks is expected, more because of the overcast conditions.

Despite R Ashwin and Ojha dominating the Hyderabad Test, captain MS Dhoni urged the curators of the Bangalore pitch to prepare tracks with more help for the spinners.
