India defeated in rain-marred fourth one day
India which was struggling was aided by the powerful innings of 87 runs by hitter Virat Kohli who remained not out with a breezy 87. Even as India was looking for a victory, the match was interrupted by rain. India were 142 for the loss of six wickets in 32.5 overs when rain interrupted the match. South Africa scored 265 for 7 wickets setting a target of 266 runs for India. Amla gave a good start for South Africa with 64 runs. However later, Indian bowlers could trouble the South African batsmen. They could not score any runs in the fourth and fifth overs. SA could score only 27 runs in the first 10 overs. After Ashish Nehra sent captain Smith to the pavilion, four wickets fell in quick succession. However Dumini and Botha faced the Indian bowlers valiantly and increased score with calculated singles and doubles. After Botha was ousted by Yuvraj Singh in the 38th over (stuped by Dhoni), Peterson and Dumini ensured that their team crossed the 250 mark.
