South Africa were 288/8 on the second day of the third and the final Test match at Newlands in Cape Town. Jacques Kallis had already got to his century but in the process, South Africa had lost four wickets in succession and slumped to a total much lesser than they would have liked.

If you look at the India v South Africa 3rd Test score, you will find that it does not look like the batting has been too easy. Already, as one writes this, S Sreesanth has captured five wickets and it does look like he could get more.

South Africa would have begun the day thinking that a score of 350 looked easily achievable while 400 would have been a bonus.

However, the track does look like it may assist the pace bowlers in a manner that the likes of Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel would like. What will be interesting to see is how the Indians handle the pair, apart from Lonwobo Tsotsobe as their number three bowler.
