Sanath Jayasurya, the dark name for Any Indian Bowler smashed a ton in the 1st ODI at Dambulla. He scored 107 before getting out. At the time of editing this post.
Indian Cricket Team will undergo with Sri Lankan team at Dambulla. Sri Lankan recently win the ODI series against Pakistan and Tri - Series in Bangladesh. Similarly Indian Team has won India-England ODI Series with 5-0 Whitewash, beated Australians and Sri Lankan prior to that.
The major news is that Virendra Sehwag of India will miss out the 1st ODI and Rohit Sharma will be in his place.
India has not played much ODIs at Dambulla and that has been raised as key factor by Jayawardane speaking to Media prior to match start. On the other hand, World's Strongest Batting team will clash with World's strong Spin Attack of Mendis and Murali in the ODI Series.
It will be great to see how one can handle those two spinners well in the whole odi series.
Sri Lanka are expected to go in with the same team that routed the Pakistan team in the 3rd ODI in Lahore, which means Upul Tharanga and Dilhara Fernando still have to cool their heels for some more time.
The Indians though are still undecided over the allrounder slot with both the Pathan brothers Yusuf and Irfan and Ravindra Jadeja fighting for one spot. Also it could be a tossup between Praveen Kumar and Munaf Patel for the third seamer's slot though the latter holds a slight edge in view of his impressive performances the last time he played here.
