Today marks a memorable day in cricketing history as the first tournament of the Indian Premier League (IPL) begins.  Eight teams made up of cricketing stars across the world begin the battle today in the IPL Twenty20.

The scale of the operation is frankly phenomenal with over $1 billion spent on broadcasting rights and over $700 million on the teams and players.  One can see the potential of this tournament simply by turning to the other sporting leagues such as the Premier League in the UK for soccer.

The great thing about this website is that it is something different from the other cricket websites as you can network and share info with other fans as well as getting the live scores and the latest news.
