Miami: Indian veteran tennis players Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupati
have clinched the Miami open Men’s doubles title in the United States.
With the win the pair also became the number one in ATP World Tour
Doubles Team Rankings. The third seed pair beat second seeded
Belarussian-canadian pair Max Mirnyl and Daniel Nestor in three sets
6-7, 6-2, 10-5, in three sets. Paes won the title last year with Lukas
Dlouhy. The win takes the Indian pair ahead of World number one Bob
and Mike Bryan for the first place in ATP Doubles team rankings and in
the battle to qualify for the Barclays ATP World Tour finals.
