International Football: Germany 1-2 England
Always a cause for celebration, the dark days of McClaren over, England finding new confidence under Fabio Capello and a deserved win over Germany at the Olympic Stadium. Capello put out a young side, Upson scoring the first on 24, and Germany levelled it with a goal from Helmes, but England pressed forward and John Terry found the winner from a Downing's free kick in the 84th minute. Promising stuff.
Captain John Terry scored a late winner to earn England a fully-deserved friendly win over Germany in Berlin.
Terry headed in Stewart Downing's free-kick after earlier being involved in a defensive mix-up with Scott Carson that handed Germany an equaliser.
The pair failed to deal with a hopeful ball forward and German substitute Patrick Helmes pounced to score.
Matthew Upson had put a dominant England ahead when he poked home a corner from the impressive Downing.
The win made it five in a row for Fabio Capello's side on a night where almost everything went right for the England coach.

My favorite headline from the England-Germany match: Did a ghost dog have John Terry barking up the wrong tree?

Talking of football headlines, the best ever from The Sun, when Inverness Caledonian Thistle knocked Celtic out of the cup.

That truly is an awesome headline, although I had to read it out loud to fully appreciate it. To me, this is truly the greatest football headline ever.
