The schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 was announced on Friday with the tournament to commence on April 3 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The format for the IPL 6, which will comprise of nine teams, will be the same as previous editions with each team in the league pitted against each other on home-and-away basis.

Realty firm DLF ended its five-year-long association with the IPL as the title sponsor in August and the BCCI floated the tenders last month. DLF paid Rs 200 crore for the five year period of 2008-12.
